I Want, I Want

1. I want to go to SXSW.

2. I want my job to quit being so dull and boring.

3. I want to spend more time with Co-worker outside of work and find out his theories on life.

4. I want to read more books such as stuff by Bukowski, Love is a Mixtape, and Confederacy of Dunces.

5. I want to go to more clubs and bars in Chicago becoming a more well-rounded scenester.

6. I want to go on a great adventure. I almost went on one yesterday, but it fell through.

7. I want to travel more. There are so many places I've never been. I need to get out of Illinois for a couple of days.

8. I want it to quit being the eternal winter. Spring is 2 weeks away. I want the weather to act like it.

9. I want to dabble in photography more and take lots more photos of life in motion.

10. I want to curl up and go to sleep right now.

11. I want to take French classes at the Discovery Center.

12. I want a Peter Bjorn and John t-shirt but the price being in Swedish confuses me.

13. I want a pair of Lakai sneakers but they are too expensive.

14. I want to hang out with Taurus Guy more often than I do.

15. I want to step away from the computer for a few days and not check my email or Myspace obsessively. I want to be a little less connected to the world sometimes.

1. This is not going to happen this year.
2. This may or may not happen.
3. This will probably eventually happen.
4. This will probably happen only if I quit being lazy.
5. This will probably happen if I find reasons to go to said places.
6. This will happen when I least expect it. That's what great adventures are made of.
7. This will more than likely happen soon even if the travel involves going to Ohio.
8. This could go on for another month. Ugh.
9. This will probably happen if I put new batteries in my camera and dedicate myself to it.
10. This definitely won't happen until much later tonight.
11. This will probably happen if I can afford it, but then again, I hate school.
12. This will probably happen in the not too distant future.
13. This as well will probably happen when I have disposable income--which may or may not happen.
14. This will happen someday again. Who knows when.
15. This won't happen unless I fall into a black hole or man hole.

I have also made a dating decision. I will only get involved with guys who like indie rock. Period. Indie rock is a very broad category encompassing a lot of genres. I mean, the Shins are considered indie even though they sell millions of records now. But, seriously. I don't think I could be with a guy who didn't obsess about music or go to a lot of shows like me. This is more important to me than looks. Luckily, guys who have similar musical tastes naturally gravitate towards me or vice versa. They have a knack for finding me on Myspace and then it evolves from there. It's like the movie/book High Fidelity. I am a music snob. Sorry. You can tell a lot about someone gaging their musical tastes. Indie rock lover or no dice.
