I am absolutely stunned at what has materialized over the past 24 hours. As of today, I'm homeless. Sadly, this is the second time since moving to Chicago three years ago that I've been in this position. I have become a pro. What gives? Has Chicago cursed me? When I lived in L.A, I lived in the same place for all 5 yrs. I will be onto my fourth place soon. Basically what happened is Frenchie and I threw a party Saturday night. My other roommate was out of town. It was most fun until the landlords intervened. We've been having issues with them because they not only own the building, but they are extremely loud with their Cujo-like barking dogs and crying baby. It's okay for them to make a lot of noise, but when we throw one tame party, it's eviction. So, today Frenchie and I got kicked out because we're not on the lease. It was very unfair especially since our roommate (who is on the lease) didn't fight for us. What the landlords did was highly illegal and I did contemplate seeking legal action, but it's really not worth it. We decided to just leave. Today I have learned who my true friends are. A couple of people who I once had differences with really stepped up to the plate for me and came through in a big way. I'm grateful for their help. This is why you don't burn bridges with people because there will be a time when you'll need someone and they may or may not be there for you. On the flip side, I have been deceived by someone I once considered a friend. This person will no longer be in my life. When people fail you, it's best to severe ties and just focus on the good souls who do come through. I refuse to keep anyone in my life who is dishonest. Until I find a place, I am temporarily staying with a friend, but there is a good chance I will be moving into a new place this week. I looked at a place tonight that will work well. Fingers crossed. Frenchie is displaced for the moment, but I know he'll find a place quickly. It's almost comical what has happened to us. Frenchie said: "When I woke up this morning I didn't realize I'd have to move." He also said: "Is this how it is in America? You throw a party and get evicted?" I hope this doesn't ruin his impression of America. I assured him this almost never occurs but we happen to be dealing with some sociopaths in this situation. So, no more hot French roommate. Sniff, sniff. It was fun while it lasted. J'adore Frenchie!
I do not know why these things happen to me. Luckily, I do not own any furniture and my entire life can fit in 2 car loads. This is why it's good to travel light. Going back to the party, well, it was really fun. At first there were nothing but French people there so I felt like I was watching a French film without subtitles, but later in the evening my American friends trickled in and they brought friends, so now I know even more people. There was also another incident in which I will not go into, but let's just say it was expected of me. I have discovered the French are very attractive people. I have not met a French person, male or female, who isn't pretty. I think France is the place to be. They don't kick you out over there. J'adore le francais!
So, now I have to move on again (literally) and for the most part, I'm okay with it. This is simply a part of life. Roll with the punches, I guess. I feel my horizons slowly expanded, encompassing greater things and adventures. This year alone I've already met so many new people and have had some crazy times. It's almost summer. I am tentative about what's around the corner, but no matter what, I will come out fighting. I will combat those evildoers. No one can keep me down. I am a survivor to the end.

Wow! That is a lot of happenins in such a short period of time! If you were in LA, you could crash with us of course. Sorry about the eviction thingy. Don't be too hard on the lease person, they need to keep the place and need to finish of the lease. I wish I could've been there for the French girls. Frackin' hot as hell!!! Ludivine Sagnier is the hottest chick alive!
You roll with the hit REALLY WELL!
three quotes for my friend:
1.

2.

3.

Thanks for the kind words. You're a good friend!
